Hoy Captain or Not

Hoy Captain or Not

Since the announcement of speeches for the house captains, I had been working hard to make my speech interesting including which school values I think are the most important and what I would do to make the house better.

On the day I was feeling nervous and confident at the same time but my speech wasn’t good enough because at first I drew with somebody in my class called Megan Broom.

So the vote went on, the pressure was mounting. The place was silent so the other kids could vote by putting their hands up in the air so the teachers could count the vote. The vote ended and there was a drum role.

Suddenly, Mrs Beastal said my name. I was relieved that I was Hoy captain and now I had to make my house the best. For the rest of the day I was really happy.
