Laura Muir School Visit

Ahead of this Year’s Commonwealth Games, Top Scottish Athlete Laura Muir popped into St Paul’s Primary School to help launch a kids go free with an adult ticket initiative for the Sainsbury’s Glasgow Grand Prix on July 11th and 12th at Hampden Park.

Laura who will be running at both the Grand Prix and Commonwealth Games in July is a Veterinary Student at Glasgow University, lives locally and can often be seen running, told the Primary 6’s during a Q & A session that she took up athletics after running cross country at school when she too was 11 years old.
 
Laura also helped out the school earlier on this year, by taking part in the pupils Determined to make Movies 2014- Welcome to Glasgowproject.

Laura who stars as herself in a brief role in the short movie by the school students about the Commonwealth Games coming to their City. 

The movie has been nominated for awards at the ceremony taking place at the Glasgow Film theatre on Thursday the 12th June.
